Every sablefish is raised using pioneering practices honed and refined to ensure consistent quality in the ideal environment for the fish – the cold, clean waters of the North Pacific. Our exacting standards (no medication, hormones, nor colouring agents are ever used) reflect our independent approach in the entire process, from egg to plate. Only those fish that meet these standards can be considered for our Special Reserve.
We believe that sustaining the environment ultimately sustains us, and we are also proud to partner with the Kyuquot First Nations to nurture the local community through year-round employment. In the Nuu-Chah-Nulth language, ‘kyuquot’ means different people, which is a symbol for our unique and different approach to sablefish aquaculture, and our desire for raising the best, most delicious fish.
